An interesting display of antiques, proving the Emperor presence in the Island, conceived for all the lovers of the Napoleonic history.
By the side of the Church of Misericordia, you can find vestments, pots, monstrances and sacred goblet by visiting the museum of Napoleon’s antiques.
Some of all exhibited objects will really strike you: the Banner with three goldthread embroidered bees (given by Napoleon to the Elba Island the day of his landing on the 4th of May 1814); the bronze mask representing a dying Napoleon (donated by the prince Anatolio Demidoff); Napoleon’s right hand bronze cast.
Do not forget the manual traction ambulance too, restored on 2016 by the Portoferraio Misericordia.
