The essence of Elba Baroque, hidden behind a neoclassical and rigorous facade.
Neoclassical and simple outside, baroque and convoluted inside: the Church of “Santissimo Sacramento” is a suggestive building whose external austerity hides an astonishing inside marked by plasters, helical columns and baroque frescoes.
Built in the sixteenth century, it was partially destroyed during the Second World War and then rebuilt.
